About

Hello & thank you for visiting my site!

My journey into creating a profession in the area of wellness began in college where I studied Athletic Training and received a B.S. in Kinesiology.  In 2010 I became a Certified Yoga Teacher and have been teaching yoga throughout the Philadelphia area since. I also studied Holistic Health Counseling at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.  These experiences laid the groundwork and knowledge for my current offerings.

It wasn’t until I became a Certified Yoga Teacher that one of my true paths of sharing wellness with others became clear; sharing physical movement with breath as a means to becoming more clear, focused & centered.  One of my goals when teaching is to create a calm and light-hearted environment for students to explore their own unique practice. Depending on the class, students may encounter challenging flows and asanas or gentle movement and meditation. Either way, students are encouraged to go-inward, quiet the mind, allow self-exploration and build awareness, while practicing self-compassion.  I offer optional gentle hands-on assists throughout class that may encourage alignment or a deeper exploration of the pose. Practicing hands-on assists in class allowed me to become more aware of the healing power of touch and led me to explore Massage Therapy, and become a Licensed Massage Therapist. My massages are intuitive, nurturing and therapeutic with an individualized approach, gained through studying wellness from a variety of perspectives.

I have additional Certifications in Thai Massage, Prenatal Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Children’s Yoga & Yin Yoga.  I am thrilled to be offering massage therapy and private yoga in the Spring Village Center for Therapy & Wellness, as I view health as a holistic journey that includes various modalities, many of which are offered at the center.

When not practicing or teaching, I am often outdoors. I love the Wissahickon, where I find peace and solace.  Hiking, traveling, music, dancing and reading are some of my favorite past times.  During covid, I learned to embrace slowing down and have incorporated more relaxation, down time and reading into my everyday life.

Please reach out to me with any questions about my offerings or to learn how I can best support you on your wellness journey!
